G1-2 ESL Update

This week in ESL, students began to build upon the basic review we did last week. In G2, students discussed more advanced alternative vocabulary terms for everyday feelings. They then used them in speaking and writing activities which emphasized details, past tense, and more interesting ways of expressing themselves.

In G1, students did some basic reading and discussion tasks. We talked about feelings words, shared using complete sentences and simple details (e.g., "I feel happy today because we can go to PE. I like PE because I like to run."). Students listened to each other and asked questions using the 5 wh question words + how in order to help each other think in more detail, and to practice how to speak correctly.
